The head of WADA Banka described the condition for the restoration of RUSADA’s rights

TAC | Xinhua via ZUMA WireThe Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) will only be reinstated if all previously set conditions are met. This was announced by the head of the AMA Vitold Banka.

According to him, until then, RUSADA will not return the compliance status. Banka also added that he still had doubts about the reality of an independent anti-doping system in Russia.

According RTWADA’s Executive Committee revoked RUSADA’s World Anti-Doping Code compliance status at the end of 2019. In December 2020, WADA’s decision was supported by CAS, which filed a lawsuit against RUSADA .

Previously, reports seemed to indicate that the Ministry of Sports plans to restore the rights of RUSADA before the end of 2023.
