The ultimate outcome of the “Northern Star” regional pop song competition, held in Arkhangelsk, was finally determined.

The second regional contest of performers of pop songs “Northern Star” ended at the House of Folk Art. According to the results of the selection of absentees, 60 singers and 18 ensembles from Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Novodvinsk, Kotlas, Vinogradovsky, Leshukonsky, Plesetsky, Lensky and Pinezhsky districts and districts reached the final. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Culture.

The participants performed songs by Soviet, Russian and foreign composers of different years. In addition to the level of voice proficiency, originality and stage culture were assessed.

The jury of the competition was chaired by Dina Kharicheva, associate professor of the pop and jazz art department of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, who highly appreciated the holding of the North Star this year.

Recall that for the first time the competition “Northern Star” was held in the capital of Pomorie in 2019, 37 young singers took part. The second competition received more coverage – the organizers received over 110 applications to participate, which took over 16 hours to listen to.
