Kiev – Ukraine focuses on OSGV “Khortitsa” and Bakhmut directions.

This was said on March 14 in an evening video message by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy , speaking of the “clear position of the headquarters: to strengthen this leadership, to destroy the occupier as much as possible”.

He noted that a headquarters meeting was held and reports were heard from the Commander-in-Chief, Intelligence and Command Directorates.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny wrote on his telegraph channel that the defensive operation in this direction of Bakhmut “is of the greatest strategic importance in deterring the enemy”.

“I respect the strength, courage and inflexibility of our soldiers in Bakhmut. A defensive operation in this direction is of the utmost strategic importance to deter the enemy. This is the key to the stability of the defense of the whole front,” he said.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the enemy tries to capture Bakhmut from several directions, surrounds him, the fighting continues. This was announced on March 14 on the airwaves of the national telethon, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said.

“The enemy on several fronts is actually trying to advance. The fighting is taking place not only in Bakhmut, it is also taking place today in the Kremennaya, Belogorovka and Disputed region. Of course, Bakhmut is the epicenter of it. As for Bakhmut itself, the enemy is also trying to capture the city from several directions, to encircle it,” Anna Malyar said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

She also reported on the significant successes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces today, but added “I’m not sure it can be expressed now.”

Recall that following the meeting of the headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on March 6, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny and the Commander of the Group of Operational and Strategic Forces (OSGV) “Khortitsa” Alexander Syrsky spoke in favor of continuing the defense operation and strengthening Ukrainian positions in Bakhmut.

In a March 12 video message, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that “in less than a week – since March 6 – and in the direction of Bakhmut alone, more than 1,100 enemy soldiers have been destroyed.”
