President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad expressed support for Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. This was stated by the head of state during talks with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.

The presidents of Syria and Russia met in Moscow for talks. During a conversation with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, Bashar al-Assad said that he supported the actions of the Russian Federation in the fight against nationalists in Ukraine. Thus, he expressed his approval of the special operation.

In particular, the Syrian leader stressed that Russia is doing the right thing by fighting the “old Nazis” who have settled in a neighboring state. According to him, their position has been approved by the United States, which constantly supports the current leadership of Kiev.
