Volgograd region is ready to prevent emergencies

On March 15, the Governor of the Volgograd region Andrey Bocharov took part in the meeting of the Council under the leadership of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District. It was held in the form of a videoconference, during which questions of additional measures to improve the effectiveness of interaction in the field of prevention, prevention and elimination of situations of urgency were discussed.

The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District, Vladimir Ustinov, noted the Volgograd region among the leaders, where fire safety is well provided. For example, the time of arrival of firefighters in the region corresponds to the standard indicators, therefore it is possible to quickly react to the danger and minimize the consequences. This is facilitated by systematic work carried out since 2014. Within its framework, new fire brigade strongholds are being created in the region, and their material and technical re-equipment is actively underway.

In 2022, 100% coverage of settlements against fires has been achieved, which corresponds to the task set by the governor. 64 new posts were opened in remote areas. Today, the structure of the regional service includes 120 divisions, where 1710 people work, there is all the necessary equipment and 253 fire engines. Over the past two years, 194 sets of equipment have been purchased to improve the level of overall security, including against fire. These are special tractors and attachments that operate in remote rural settlements.

Many works are underway to prepare for the passage of flood waters. As part of it, the monitoring and repair of hydraulic structures, measures for the protection of banks, the formation of necessary reserves, etc.. A difficult situation in March of this year developed in Uryupinsk, Novoanninsky, Novonikolaevsky, Yelansky, Danilovsky, Kumylzhensky district and a number of rural settlements of Mikhailovka. All forces and means of all parts of the RSChS territorial subsystem of the region were prepared for a rapid response.

Civil defense measures are also implemented, the activities of unified service and dispatch departments of municipal districts and city districts are improved, interdepartmental cooperation is regulated to ensure anti-terrorism security, staff exercises are regularly organized to work out the algorithm of actions in case of emergency of different nature.
