A resident of Chernyakhovsk, who wanted to bury his son next to his mother, fell victim to scammers

In Chernyakhovsk, the ex-director of the municipal unitary enterprise “Ritual Services” and the former caretaker of the city cemetery appear in a criminal case for fraud. The case is being examined by the local commission of inquiry. This decision was taken on the basis of documents provided by the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kaliningrad region.

The investigation believes that in December 2021, a resident of Chernyakhovsk asked the cemetery caretaker. The man asked to provide a specific area for the burial of his son (next to his mother). The suspect forwarded the request to the director of “Ritual Services” of the MUP.

In addition, both defendants informed the man that the assignment of the specified place is possible for a fee of 30,000 rubles. The victim, misled, transferred money to the concierge’s bank card. This was reported by the official telegraph channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kaliningrad region.

Earlier, MK in Kaliningrad reported that the jury convicted a Kaliningrader who “missed” and stuck a knife in the neck of a random acquaintance.
