She has been criticized for promoting poor eating habits and called an “almond mum”. The term is used for adult women with a culture of dieting on the brain.
Paltrow, 50, was a guest on the podcast “The art of being well those days. In the episode, she went over her daily health routine, but in doing so, she was receiving IV fluids.
“I’m making a fool of myself here,” the actress said of the needle in her hand.
“I love IVs, I’m an early adopter,” she said, adding that glutathione and phosphatidylcholine were her favorites.
Daily routine
Gwyneth said she was fasting (intermittent fasting) and ate her first meal around noon. Then she makes sure that “I’m not getting anything that raises my blood sugar.”
“I love soup, I often have bone broth,” she said.
“Then I try to exercise for an hour, so I’ll go for a walk or do some pilates or do a workout by Tracy Anderson.”
After a workout, Gwyneth said she dry brushes her body and goes into an infrared dry steamer for 30 minutes.
The lifestyle enthusiast said she eats on the paleo diet and eats a lot of vegetables at dinner “to detoxify the body”.
A video of the show has gone viral on TikTok. Netizens criticized the actress for sharing these habits with others under the guise of “health habits” and improving health. They say these are not healthy habits but the habits of someone who starves themselves and has an unhealthy relationship with food. Also, a lot of people wonder why she always cleans her body and always advertises it, but there are a lot of all kinds of products, drinks and other related stuff on her lifestyle website goop.com. There is a special sub-category on the site called: “The Detox Shop”.
“The mother of all almond mothers. What does she cleanse her body of if she doesn’t eat anything? She’s still in (detox). It’s kind of an obsession and it’s like a mental disorder. diet, it doesn’t work in a healthy way.”
Nutritionists warn
Nutritionists have also publicly criticized the actress and warned against her advice. BuzzFeed reports.
“In the morning, she takes coffee, celery juice and lemon water. These are not meals, they are drinks. Even when she has breakfast, she says she eats green soup or broth It barely counts as food, it’s liquid, it’s drinks. In the evening, she has a meal of mostly vegetables. It’s a very limited diet,” said nutritionist Sammi. Haber Brondo to the media, adding that our liver and kidneys cleanse the body and there is no need for “detox”.
Brondo said Paltrow’s advice was questionable and could be dangerous to others. “There’s always going to be at least one person who sees this and goes, ‘Ah, I have to do this.'”

Another nutritionist, Kathleen Meehan, pointed out that the American actress was definitely not eating enough.
“One thing I noticed listening to the show is that Gwyneth works really hard to feel good. She does all kinds of different things that are out of reach for most of us, and I think it has to do with his need to eat more. When you don’t eat enough, you don’t feel good,” she said.
Gwyneth Paltrow has not commented on the reviews.
