In the center of Volgograd, a repeat unemployed person was arrested for stealing a fence

On March 15, the director of the central district municipal park went to the police with a statement regarding the theft of a metal fence.

According to the Russian Interior Ministry in Volgograd, the district police officer arrested a suspect in the robbery. It turned out to be a 45-year-old unemployed man, a previously convicted local resident.

Volgograd confessed his deed. The man said that in the evening he saw metal fences in the park and decided to steal them. He made sure no one could see him and took away two metal structures. The attacker took the stolen goods to a scrap collection point and spent the money received.

The stolen goods were confiscated by the police. The question of initiating criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”.

The man now faces up to two years in prison.
