Leningrad region plans to hold remote electronic voting in elections

The Leningrad region has applied to organize remote electronic voting before the day of the single vote, which will be held on September 10, 2023. Previously, the Lenoblesbirkom participated in the development of the first versions of the system and followed the experience of other regions.

According to the Chairman of the Leningrad Region Election Commission, Mikhail Lebedinsky, this type of voting will help to better exercise the constitutional rights of citizens. He said several generations of voters have now grown up and prefer to solve problems using gadgets.

In an interview with Online47, Lebedinsky noted that there would certainly be a demand for this type of voting among residents, since now up to 90% of people have verified accounts on the Gosuslugi portal and use electronic services through this system.

Earlier, MK of the Leningrad region announced that a new chairman of the construction committee was elected in the 47th region.
