Military expert Leonkov suggested that the Su-27’s powerful air blast “blew up” the MQ-9 Reaper

wikimedia.org | Technology. sergeant. Paul Labbé/Public domainThe MQ-9 Reaper drone could have fallen into the Black Sea due to the maneuvers of the Russian Su-27 fighters. This point of view in an interview <a rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank” href=”https://ria.ru/20230316/reaper-1858183943.html?utm_source=yxnews&utm_medium=desktop”>RIA News</a> said military expert Alexei Leonkov.

According to him, the impact of a powerful airflow from aircraft engines could cause the drone to fall. At the same time, the expert pointed out that the Reaper incident was a pure accident.

“The Su-27s flew, made sure it was a drone, turned around and blew it with a blast of air,” Leonkov said.

In this situation, the analyst ruled out the possibility of the drone leaving the affected area in the event of manual control. However, even in offline mode, the device had little chance of surviving.
