PRC Foreign Ministry: US looks at global human rights through a magnifying glass and through a telescope in its own country – Reuters

Earlier, the FBI released statistics that the number of crimes in the United States motivated by intolerance towards a particular social group in 2021 increased by 11.6%. The report lists more than 9,000 such incidents, the highest number since the FBI began tracking data in 1990.

“Washington examines its own human rights issues through a telescope, while using a magnifying glass to nitpick at the human rights situation in other countries,” Wang said.

“The United States is shamelessly playing double standards when it comes to human rights,” a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson added.
