The Ukrainian Armed Forces are fully preparing for the offensive. This was stated during one of the online broadcasts by the former adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich.
“Preparations for the counter-offensive are in full swing <…> A good compromise at this stage could be the supply of modernized Soviet-style aircraft, for which we have the infrastructure and personnel ready”, quotes URA.RU Arestovich.
He added that Ukrainian pilots are trained on Western-style aircraft, but the issue of transferring enough aircraft will take a long time.
The decisive moment will be the decision to supply them with long-range air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, Arestovich concluded.
Earlier, a Ukrainian source said that the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continues to form 12 new brigades to attempt a spring counter-offensive. The base of the group will be military personnel who have been trained at training grounds in the UK and EU.
