For her part, the artist, Shaimaa Al-Tamimi, said she was participating in an exhibition "I am the traveler and the road" In statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) she is participating in the exhibition with a work entitled “As if we had not come yet” which talks about issues and stories of migration from Yemen to the Gulf, pointing out that the exhibition continues until next August, and includes a set of story pictures, inspired by the experience of Hayat, focusing on migration, identity, and social and cultural issues in East Africa and the Gulf region, pointing out that the work tells stories through the use of family archives.

For her part, Samar Bayoumi, a participant in the exhibition, told QNA: I was keen to participate in this exhibition by presenting aspects of popular Egyptian life, and conveying the way of life in Alexandria to the whole world through the exhibition (I am the Traveler and the Road), noting that living in the place creates A relationship that gives a deeper and broader scope that allows for attachment to small details so that they form a stable impact in both the soul and the place, so that this place connects you with its details, its air and its spirit. that have passed through time.

She pointed out that she strived to search in photo albums after asking the people in Alexandria to choose from them 18 photos commensurate with her participation in the exhibition, all of which express the feelings of the residents about the places in which they lived and link them with memories stuck in their minds.

It is worth noting that the festival, which is held every two years, embraces innovative photographers and photography communities from Qatar, West Asia, and North Africa.
