Roskomnadzor unblocked Last.fm music service. Message about this published on the department’s website.
Roskomnadzor claims he has repeatedly sent requests to the Last.fm administration to remove material containing “inaccurate and socially significant” information and discredit the Russian military. However, the administration of the service, according to Roskomnadzor, ignored the requirements, which became “the basis for blocking the site and mobile applications” in Russia.
“After the imposed restrictions, the portal administration promptly removed the prohibited content. Roskomnadzor specialists checked the information received on the removal of illegal content. The block was lifted, the last.fm portal and mobile applications are available again for Russian users,” the agency concluded.
The blocking of Last.fm became known on March 9. Roskomsvoboda* reported that Ukrainian artist Jalsomino’s song Chornobaivka was the cause. The fact that the site can be blocked, on March 1 informed RT with reference to the source.
