wikimedia.org | Mil.ru/CC BY-SA 4.0Russian armed forces sappers neutralized an anti-tank minefield laid by Ukrainian militants near Mariupol. This was said by the deputy commander of the combined detachment of engineering troops with the call sign “Announcer”.
According to him, the military have already neutralized more than 200 TM-62 shells. Sappers continue to clear the remaining explosive devices. According to “Announcer”, enemy mines are destroyed by 30-piece explosions. At the same time, these fields usually consist of 400-500 anti-tank shells.
“The mines were destroyed by blasting, they were not removed from the place in order to secure the work of the sappers,” added the commander.
To protect local residents, all fields with mines from Ukrainian militants are guarded and fenced with special tapes. According to sappers, there are still many such areas with explosive devices in the vicinity of Mariupol.
