Editing The Washington Post reported that a “civil war” had broken out between representatives of the Republican Party in the United States of America. This was due to disagreements over the issue of continued military assistance to Kiev.
According to media reports, former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Carey Lake criticized “multi-billion dollar” aid to Kiev at the expense of the interests of US residents.
She said the money Americans have honestly earned is being sent overseas “to start World War III.” At the same time, the people did not choose such an outcome.
It is stated that Lake’s statements found support in the face of many party members. Some representatives of the Republican Party, in turn, have noted that such statements are marginal. Among other things, they advocated continued aid to Ukraine.
