Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Pskov region, Natalia Sokolova, examined SIZO-2 during her trip to Velikie Luki. She shared her impressions of the visit on the Vkontakte social network.
Together with representatives of the Federal Regional Penitentiary Service of Russia, the Ombudsman examined the cells in which minors are detained, the pedestrian courtyard, the classroom, the dining room and the psychological rescue room, and also took knowledge of the training plan.

Now SIZO-2 contains 2 teenagers and 9 women – four of whom have minor children. The status of each of them is under the constant control of the Mediator.
“Despite the fact that no comments were found, and that the conditions, in general, are satisfactory for the institutions of the penitentiary system, the impressions remain particular, and there is only one conclusion: you do not advise nor wish anyone!” – pointed out Natalia Sokolova.
