Viktor Gilin was found guilty of discrediting the RF Armed Forces in the Leninsky District Court in Perm. The pensioner held a single picket on December 21, 2022 with a poster about the SVO, the 59.ru edition reports.

Initially, the pensioner was detained by law enforcement officers. An hour and a half later, Viktor Gilin was released from the police station.

On March 16, 2022, a court decision was issued against a pensioner in actions aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The man was fined 30,000 rubles.

“That’s the minimum sentence under this article,” said Viktor Gilin.

Earlier, the head of Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, commented on the law on the discrediting of NVO volunteers. According to the businessman, 146 million Russians can be imprisoned in this way.
