Al-Arabi temporarily topped the Qatar Football League (QNB Stars League), after achieving an outright victory over Al-Sailiya 4-1, in the meeting that brought them together today, at Hamad Grand Stadium, in the seventeenth round.

Al-Arabi scored its twelfth victory in the tournament, raising its score to 37 points, one point ahead of former leaders Al-Duhail, who will face Qatar Club tomorrow / Saturday / in the same round.

Al-Arabi owed the victory to its Syrian stars Omar Al-Soma and Tunisian Youssef Al-Masakni, who shared the four goals, as Al-Soma twice responded to Al-Sailiya’s lead with the Iranian goal, Mehrdad Mohammadi, in the eighth minute, as he scored the equalizing goal in the 32nd minute, before giving his team precedence with the second goal in the minute ( 45 + 1), while Msakni shone in the second half, scoring the third goal from the same Somah pass in the 64th minute, before completing the quartet in the 85th minute.

Al-Arabi continued his advantage in the second half through offensive efficiency through coordinated counterattacks, in light of Al-Sailah rushing towards the attack in search of an amendment, and from one of the counter-attacks Ibrahim Nasser passed both balls towards Omar Al-Soma, who in turn prepared it for Youssef Al-Masakni, who did not find much trouble in depositing it.
