Russia: Alexander Sokolov sent supervisory authorities to check prices at Lukoil gas stations

The government press center reported that Lukoil-Uralnefteprodukt had paid a fine of 650,000 rubles thanks to the governor of the Kirov region.

Recall that today we have already written that the organization was punished for the unreasonable increase in gasoline prices of the most popular brands: AI-92, AI-95.

Earlier, the regional branch of OFAS said that it had started an inspection and then opened a case in connection with numerous complaints from residents of Kirov.

The press center of the regional administration explained that the head of the region Alexander Sokolov paid attention to Kirov gasoline being more expensive than its neighbors. He instructed to monitor the situation, while the residents of Kirov were already complaining to OFAS.

Thanks to the efforts of the Antimonopoly Service, Lukoil’s violation of the law was stopped.
