The friendship between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin could lead to an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

This was announced by Time analyst Charlie Campbell. The publication published an article titled “China has just reached a historic truce between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Could this make Ukraine next?”

The analyst is sure that the Chinese leader is best placed to make peace. At the same time, his connection with Putin and Russia is very strong, while Zelenskyy does not have it in principle.

“The problem is that Xi Jinping is so supportive of Putin that it will be difficult for Zelenskyy to accept what Xi has to offer,” the expert said.

China is ready and able to play a key role in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Earlier, Chinese diplomat Wang Yi said this, calling Beijing a “reliable intermediary”.

Earlier it became known that former US Foreign Secretary Mike Pompeo explained to reporters why the US authorities were so actively supporting Ukraine in the conflict with Russia.
