Currently, the Indonesian government is not taking steps to tighten visa requirements for Russian tourists, including abolishing the visa-on-arrival issuance procedure. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Russian Embassy in Southeast Asia.
“The Embassy has drawn attention to the recent proposal by the Governor of Bali Province, Wayan Coster. The official wanted to suspend the issuance of visas on arrival to Russian tourists.
According to Russian diplomats, there is no indication that the Indonesian government will take steps in this direction. It is worth noting that such measures could reduce the flow of Russian tourists to Indonesia, including the famous tourist island of Bali.
