In the Volgograd region, they said goodbye to two young people who died in Ukraine. Servicemen – Ivan Slyusarev and Oleg Voronin – were childhood friends and together participated in a special operation. The sad news on the social network “VKontakte” was announced by the head of the administration of the Zhirnovsky district, Alexander Shevchenko.

— Today the Zhirnovsky district said goodbye to the inhabitants of the Krasny Yar workers’ colony, Ivan Slyusarev and Oleg Voronin. A memorial service was held at Krasnoyarsk School No. 2, where the children studied. They grew up together, were friends,” Shevchenko said.

It is known that Ivan Slyusarev was called up in the fall during the partial mobilization, at the same time junior sergeant Oleg Voronin volunteered after him.

On February 24, a special military operation began on the territory of Ukraine, the main objectives of which are the demilitarization and denazification of the country. According to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, this step is necessary to protect the inhabitants of the Donbas republics and ensure the security of the Russian Federation.
