RIA Novosti: After the incident with the drone, Washington will review pilot programs Fox News

After the incident over the Black Sea, Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to Washington, was summoned to the State Department and protested. But the diplomat called the incident a provocation by states and called for an end to flights near Russia’s borders.

It was a kind of warning, according to analysts at the agency, and they say that in the future, Americans will be more cautious.
So, according to military expert Alexei Leonkov, the incident “will surely affect piloting programs, and drones will no longer be sent so close to us.” Moreover, Leonkov believes that what happened will be a strong argument for Republicans who criticize the Biden administration’s policy of assisting Kiev.

The agency cites the history of combat use of the MQ-9 Reaper, in particular, recalls the airstrike on Baghdad International Airport in January 2020, which killed Qasem Soleimani. And also how in 2019 one of the drones was shot down by the crew of the Russian Pantsir-S1. True, the American authorities then decided not to mention it.

Now the Russian army faces an important task – to lift the wreckage of the drone from the water. According to Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Russia is already looking for the remains of the drone.
