Serpukhovichi became the hero of the new Russian film “In the sun along the rows of corn”

August 15 is the date that for 233 people became the second birthday. It was on this day that the Airliner Airbus A321-211 made a successful emergency landing in a cornfield.

Serpukhovichi were also on the plane – Svetlana and Igor Balashov and their grandson Daniil. Almost five years ago, a story happened that changed their lives and those of everyone on board forever.

An ordinary scheduled flight turned into a real test of courage. Thanks to pilot Damir Yusupov, human lives have been saved by his dedication to the cause. Both engines failed, but he managed to land it in a cornfield. Damir and the whole team have become heroes!

And now a movie based on those events is coming out in theaters. The name of the film is also set in real history – after all, the phrase “Let’s go to the right, to the sun, along the rows of corn” was uttered by flight attendant Dmitry Ivlitsky during the evacuation.

The premiere took place on March 9 at the Oktyabr cinema in Moscow. Young Serpukhovich, a participant in the events, Daniil, was invited here together with his mother Elena Gerasimova, who still keeps a screenshot of his parents’ message from that day: “They fell, but did not crash .” Before that, Daniil managed to give an interview on Avtoradio Serpukhov.
