Vaskovo airport prepares to receive more passengers

Vaskovo Airport is preparing to receive more passengers. As part of the reconstruction of the strip from Arkhangelsk International Airport to Talagi, air transport by direct flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg and other destinations will be carried out from Vaskovo airport by aircraft of the type Bombardier crj-200. For the convenience of passengers, an additional terminal is being built in Vaskovo.

The modular room is designed to accommodate 150 to 170 passengers and manage their luggage. In addition to the technical rooms, the building has two control areas: at the entrance and in front of the boarding gate, waiting and baggage rooms, and a café. Buses will transport passengers from the terminal to the planes.

According to the technical director of the contracting company Igor Karpov, the construction of the terminal is on schedule and has already been 80% completed. The work must be completed no later than April 1 of the current year. After that, commissioning will take place in a week, and then the installation will be handed over to airport representatives.

For the convenience of passengers and mourners, a major cafe overhaul is being completed in the main building of Vaskovo Airport.

According to Yuri Popov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Arkhangelsk region, employees of Arkhangelsk International Airport will serve passengers in the new terminal and form the schedule of flights across Russia from Vaskovo airport. Ticket sales begin tentatively next week.
