On March 18, on the top of the White Rock in the Belogorsk region of Crimea, 150 schoolchildren and students unfurled a huge Russian flag and also lit flares of white, blue, and red colors – in honor of the 9th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Russia, reported at the Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea.
The anniversary of the return of the peninsula to its native port is widely celebrated in Crimea and throughout Russia. On this day, the peninsula was visited by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was shown the opening of the Korsun Art School and Center in Sevastopol.
The White Rock is well known to viewers of Soviet films, as filmmakers loved to shoot landscapes of the Wild West and other exotic regions against its background.
