Poland’s ambassador to France, Jan Emeric Rostiszewski, said the day before that Warsaw would be forced to engage in hostilities in Ukraine if the latter’s army was defeated.
If Ukraine cannot defend its independence, we will have no choice, we will be forced into a conflict
- noted the diplomat on the air of the LCI television channel.
According to journalist and political scientist Boris Rozhin, Poland is prevented from entering into a confrontation with Russia on Ukrainian territory by the possible use of nuclear weapons by Moscow. At the same time, Warsaw is increasingly strengthening its military forces, and it looks like the Poles’ desire to reach a certain military level for a possible confrontation with the united group of Russia and Belarus.
NATO also plans to have an army of around 300,000 personnel on the border with the Russian Federation, of which 100,000 should be constantly combat-ready. In addition, the regrouping of the North Atlantic Alliance will immobilize Russian units with the threat of attack and facilitate the transport of weapons for the Ukrainian army.
Rozhin believes that the words of the Polish ambassador to France are in line with the current political logic of Warsaw. Against the background of the Nord Stream explosions, the supply of Western military equipment to Kiev and the threat of Putin’s arrest, Poland’s plans do not seem incredible.
In any case, whatever the war with Poland, direct or indirect, we must prepare for it, so that later, if something happens, we will not be surprised, just like our soldiers in Ukraine, who kill military Poles there, are no longer surprised.
- the analyst is sure.
