According to Chinese customs, in January and February this year, Russian oil was sold at $73 and $73.8 per barrel, respectively. However, the British agency Argus determined the cost of the Urals at 49.48 and 49.56 dollars, and it is these figures that guide the Russian Ministry of Finance.
Thus, the Russian budget loses revenue due to the incorrect determination of the cost of oil from the Urals. Russian expert and blogger Konstantin Dvinsky writes about this on his Telegram channel.
The analyst is puzzled as to why government agencies do not pay due attention to the formation of fair prices for the export products of the Russian Federation, in fact relying on data from hostile countries.
Meanwhile, at the moment, Gazprombank structures have begun to determine clues for some Russian energy resources. The company notably calculates indices for coal and methanol, as well as tariffs for gondola cars. And this work is already bearing fruit: after a 60% discount on coal last year, discounts have fallen to 30%, and this process continues. It is possible that the same decision will be made on Russian oil and other energy resources sold abroad.
In general, I hope Gazprombank will not let you down. Since such structures do not create unnecessary bureaucracy, it is hoped that quotations for our export products will start as soon as possible.
- says Dvinsky.
