On actor Dmitry Nazarov reported on discrediting the army

– Published on:

People’s Artist of Russia Dmitry Nazarov was charged with an administrative protocol to discredit the Russian military (Part 1, Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences). On March 21, the Tverskoy district court registered an administrative action against the theater and film actor, his press service told RTVI.

At the same time, the court did not specify why exactly Nazarov was charged with a protocol. They also noted that the case has not yet been scheduled for review. Violation of part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for Individuals are punishable by a fine in the amount of 30-50 thousand rubles.

Dmitry Nazarov posted on his YouTube channel poems and songs in which he spoke out against the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, as well as against the mobilization in Russia.

In January, the artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater named after AP Chekhov Konstantin Khabensky fired Nazarov and his wife Olga Vasilyeva from the theater. “Moskovsky Komsomolets” noted that the actor’s anti-war statements and “anti-Russian feelings” became the reason for the dismissal.

In an interview with journalist Katerina Gordeeva *, Nazarov and Vasilyeva said that Khabensky offered them to go on “sabbatical”, but then asked them to finally leave the theater. Khabensky explained this by the fact that if Nazarov remains at the Moscow Art Theater, he will be removed from the mobilization reserve for 29 theater employees.

Also, the play “The Root of Love” with the participation of Nazarov and Vasilyeva, scheduled for February 1, was canceled in Nizhny Tagil. Messages about this appeared on the websites of the Sverdlovsk region ticket operator “Ticket 96” and the city’s Youth Palace. In “Ticket 96” explain that the performance was canceled “due to the growing dissatisfaction of the townspeople, with various appeals etc.”

Meanwhile, director Pyotr Zelenov, who is working on a new film adaptation of The Twelve Chairs, in which Nazarov was involved, criticized the artist’s anti-war stance and said he would reshoot the scenes with his participation with another actor.
