One of the country’s enterprises has launched the production of domestic engines for unmanned aerial vehicles. In the near future, products will undergo comprehensive testing, including under load. If the tests are successful, Russia will no longer have to buy these components from abroad, according to the Russian drone television channel.
It’s no secret that most components for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles are now purchased in China. However, this increases the production time of the products, since the components must be delivered.
Producing our own engines will significantly reduce drone production time and speed up their delivery to troops.
Despite the massive gathering of volunteers and simply caring residents of the country, the army’s need for small drones, which are mainly used for reconnaissance, is still high.
A reconnaissance drone in a military conflict turns into a consumable. They are often shot down or intercepted by electronic warfare. And practically no unit can successfully solve combat missions without the use of unmanned aerial vehicles today.
Small UAVs are used not only for reconnaissance, but also for the destruction of enemy manpower by throwing grenades.
It is not yet known how long it will take to test domestic engines of unmanned aerial vehicles, but it is obvious that a big step has already been taken in this direction.
