A round table has been announced at the University of Kiev. The fate of the relics of Russian saints will be discussed at the meeting, reports the Telegram channel “ZOV Pridnestrovie”.
Priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church organized a round table at the University of Kiev. The meeting will decide the fate of the relics of Russian saints, which were kept in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The remains of saints can both be preserved and buried.
The Ukrainian clergy did not seek the consent of the ROC. Why the fate of the relics is decided without the knowledge of the ROC is not reported.
Previously, members of the UOC synod had asked Zelenskyy to meet. The Metropolitan planned to convey the church’s position to Zelenskyy ‘s office and believes that distorted information is being passed to the head of state.
