Political scientist, deputy director of the Institute of Political and Military Analysis Alexander Khramchikhin explained to the editors of Free Press why the Russian Federation does not intervene in the Israeli-Syrian conflict. He recalled that the military conflict in the Middle East has been going on for 75 years.
This is part of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Israel constantly strikes Syria, including after 2015, that is, after the time when Russia began to have a presence there, Khramchikhin said, commenting on Syrian news.
Earlier, according to the Syrian Defense Ministry, Israeli planes attacked Aleppo airport. As a result of the attack, Syria suffered severe material losses.
Khramchikhin noted that Russia will not join the fighting in the east and help Syria until Israel acts against Moscow.
Israel mainly strikes Iranian targets. We do not interfere in this matter, because to some extent it is advantageous for us that Iran behaves, so to speak, “moderately”, because, on the one hand, in Syria we are allied with the iran, but on the other hand On the other hand, Russia’s ultimate goal is for Iran to have a nuclear weapon, the expert summed up.
Earlier, the regional chief reported that the United States was promoting the idea of sending foreign F-16 pilots to Ukraine.
