The Belarusian State Security Committee admitted that the SBU or opponents who fled the republic could be behind the terrorist liquidated in Grodno. The STV television channel reported these suspicions.

Earlier it was reported that the terrorist, liquidated by the Belarusian security forces, used a fake passport of a Russian citizen in the name of Aleksey Nikolaevich Lomakin. It turned out that he was carrying out additional reconnaissance of the locations where the alleged terrorist attacks had taken place.

During the arrest, he fired at the capture group with a Kalashnikov assault rifle and threw a grenade at law enforcement. During the arrest operation, he was injured and died on his way to the medical facility.
