Tula ‘Arsenal’ midfielder Kirill Panchenko brought pizza to a fan who went on a hunger strike due to the team’s unsuccessful performance in recent matches.
He recorded a video message to the fan community and the management of Arsenal, in which he announced a hunger strike, which was to last until the Gunners’ first victory, at least a week: the 26 March, the Tula team will play the match of the 24th day of the first league against Ufa.
In response, Panchenko came to the fan’s home, handed him a pizza and invited him to the game, promising that Arsenal would try to win.
Tulyaks lost the first two matches of the spring part of the season – Moscow “Rodina” (2:3) and Krasnoyarsk “Yenisei” (0:1). The future initiator of the hunger strike was at a match in Krasnoyarsk, where he hitchhiked, traveling 4,200 km.
After 23 rounds, Arsenal are in 6th place in the Premier League.
