Not the first generation of adults remembers with a smile how in childhood they read Viktor Dragunsky’s stories about inseparable friends Denisk and Mishka and their adventures. From now on, “Deniska’s stories” will live on in a cinematic incarnation. The writer’s grandson – Artemy Dragunsky – will film the famous book.
The same team that brought Narine Abgaryan’s “Manyunya” to the screen will work on the film. “There is magic in it. We decided to present a fairy tale to fans of the Dragunsky family,” says producer Gevond Andreasyan. He also noted that the team had acquired the film rights to some other children’s books (which are not specified) so that the contestants would have no chance of gaining popularity through nostalgic films aimed at young audiences.
Filming will begin in August. Film stories will be created gradually – during the current year, Deniska’s preschool adventures will be filmed. And in 2024 they will resume the transfer of the school life of heroes from Dragunsky to the screen.
And another interesting/useful thing for little lovers of literature: how to instill a love of poetry in a child.
