The Russian banking sector appears much more stable than the Western sector against a background of crisis. This was stated by columnist Kenneth Rapoza, noting the strengthening of the ruble.
“There was no Russian banking crisis, unlike recent events with Silicon Valley Bank in the United States and Credit Suisse in Switzerland. The ruble has strengthened and there is no queue of people trying to take their money in a hurry, ”wrote the author in his article for Forbes.
Rapoza sees the reasons for financial stability in the competent actions of the leadership of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, which eliminated the weak links in the banking sector in advance.
Recall, earlier it became known about the bankruptcy of one of the largest US banks Silicon Valley Bank. The institution went under external management after a catastrophic drop in liquidity. In this context, economists fear a banking crisis in the United States.
