Former CIA chief and former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said current US leader Joe Biden made a huge strategic mistake by allowing Russia and China to come together economically and politically. A video fragment of the interview with the politician was published on the YouTube channel of the Fox News channel.
He noted in particular that attempts by the US administration to imagine Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to the Russian capital have proved futile.
“The Biden administration failed, it allowed Russians and Chinese to unite, and that poses enormous risks to the United States and every citizen,” the former CIA director said.
Pompeo also suggested that Moscow and Beijing united would act against Washington, which cannot be called a good situation.
“The economic engagement between these two countries is significant, it will affect the United States and jobs across the country, and we must be absolutely prepared to fight back,” he concluded.
Earlier, the British newspaper The Times published an article on the possible consequences of the Chinese leader’s trip to Moscow for the West. The material indicates that the United States and its allies risk completely losing their influence over the countries of the “Global South” – China, India, Brazil, South Africa.
