Shopping centers, complexes, and shops prepared with various offers to welcome the holy month, as they were all keen to display foodstuffs and supplies for the blessed month of Ramadan, and to organize offers and discounts on goods and products that citizens are keen to buy to organize the full Ramadan feasts and banquets that bring together family and friends and are full of a variety of foods and sweets. and drinks. Mothers prepare early to receive the blessed month of Ramadan by purchasing the necessary supplies to prepare the main items, without which the breakfast table in all Qatari homes is not complete, as Qataris are keen to eat the traditional foods that they inherited from their parents and grandparents during the holy month. As there is rarely a table in Ramadan that is devoid of these main items on all tables in Qatari homes, in addition to porridge, tortilla bread, luqaimat and other basic foods that occupy a prominent place in the culture and conscience of the Qatari people and are closely linked to the month of Ramadan.

For his part, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Emadi, owner of a shop in Souq Waqif, said in statements to the Qatari Sons Agency (QNA): With the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, the turnout increases and the sales movement revives in the markets and shops, and those markets prevail in a special atmosphere that reflects the fragrance of the best months of the year, and makes Consumers shop here and there and buy everything they need throughout Ramadan, with joy on their faces and looks anticipating the advent of the holy month.

He added that the most prominent feature of the markets, including Souq Waqif, is the great crowding ahead of the month of Ramadan, as the turnout increases at this time of the year and the purchase movement increases, especially the Ramadan requirements of foodstuffs and various commodities, and the demand for the market continues throughout the holy month. Being one of the most important markets in which shops sell a variety of commodities, in addition to the presence of restaurants and cafes that serve cold and hot drinks and also offer a variety of popular dishes. He explained that the preparation for the holy month takes place since the beginning of the month of Sha’ban, and at the level of shops, they prepare and import all the requirements for the month of Ramadan, while the turnout and sales are active by consumers who come to buy their needs and supplies that are used in preparing Ramadan food and preparing sweets.

For his part, Saad Al-Badr, whom QNA met while shopping for Ramadan supplies, said: Perhaps what distinguishes the blessed month of Ramadan from the rest of the months of the year is that it has a special atmosphere that Muslims around the world feel when they prepare for the holy month by purchasing various supplies from shops and centers. The various shopping malls that are crowded with shoppers who are preparing to receive the holy month by buying foodstuffs and various commodities such as spices, harees, and other items and ingredients that go into preparing popular foods and sweets, whose presence is considered a major presence on the breakfast table in all Qatari homes.

He added: The sales movement is active with the approach of the month of Ramadan, and the demand and demand for the purchase of all Ramadan materials and necessities increases, and the markets are crowded, especially Souq Waqif, as it is one of the most famous markets in Qatar, and it is frequented by citizens and residents on all occasions to buy from its stores that sell various commodities that do not exist. In other markets, which makes this market a destination for citizens before Ramadan and throughout the days of the holy month.


In turn, Shafi Al-Mansoori stressed that the purchasing movement is active in an unprecedented manner before the holy month of Ramadan, as the demand for markets and commercial complexes increases in order to purchase Ramadan goods, noting the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry that it launched recently and announced through it a list that includes more than 900 discounted consumer goods. And it will continue until the end of the holy month of Ramadan, in coordination with major sales outlets.

Al-Mansoori stressed that the revival of the sales movement and the increase in demand in the markets to buy foodstuffs and various commodities are among the most important habits that characterize the atmosphere of receiving the holy month, as mothers are keen to buy everything related to cooking and preparing popular foods, as well as various varieties of spices and basic materials from which they make meals. And sweets, which are not without Ramadan breakfast tables, and many of them are also keen to buy clothes and supplies that characterize the Ramadan atmosphere.
