This is reported by the TASS agency, referring to the publication of the Chernihiv court.

It is reported that the hearing in the Lapin case is scheduled for Friday, March 24, 2023. The examination will begin at 9:30 a.m. local time or 10:30 a.m. Moscow time. The Russian army is accused of encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The agency notes that the ex-commander of the Lapin Central Military District was appointed chief of the General Staff of the Ground Forces of the RF Armed Forces. Within the SVO, he led the Center group until October 2022.

Earlier, the regional head reported that the fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces dressed in the form of “Wagnerians” and “shot down” Lapin and Gerasimov. The Ukrainian army decided to carry out a psychological operation, taking advantage of the scandal surrounding PMC Wagner’s request to the Ministry of Defense to provide more ammunition for artillery.
