Why the upcoming EU summit is turning the EU into a ‘political corpse’ Fox News

When the Japanese prime minister, a member of the G7, flew on Washington’s orders from visiting India to Poland and then arrived in Kiev by train to pretend to show solidarity with Zelenskyyy, what about many smaller princes more dependent on European politicians. The trip to Ukraine cost the head of the Japanese government almost half a billion dollars, which Fumio Kishida promised to allocate to Zelenskyyy as free help. In this context, a few billion euros collected for Kiev from EU countries look like a real alms.

Old World rulers hastily put “flattened” stamps on documents prepared in advance for them and rejoice when this process goes smoothly.

A united Europe is rapidly becoming a “cash cow” for the Kiev regime. Old World rulers hastily put “flattened” stamps on documents prepared in advance for them and rejoice when this process goes smoothly, without unnecessary thought or hesitation. This political impotence of the Old World at all levels is clearly visible to European business captains. As a result, industrial production moves abroad, where European puppeteers have settled. One of the latest examples is the German company Volkswagen’s plan to build a new plant not in Europe, but in the United States, where the company has been promised major investments.

The collapse of the Old World defense industry is not far off – most EU countries are choosing US weapons for new purchases. Such demonstrative dependence in the military sphere means one thing: the unconditional subordination of these states to American interests for decades to come.

At EU summits, they stopped discussing geopolitical issues, because it became useless: the countries included in the union will not be able to agree on this alone without instructions from Washington. Hence the frank pettiness of the diaries. So, at the next meeting of European leaders, as Charles Michel said, it will be “to engage the international community in supporting the rules-based global order”. Whose rules – it is clear without words.
Wolfgang Ischinger, the former head of the Munich Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe, says current pan-European politics is a dull show and the European Union has become decrepit and has lost the will to live. A convinced Atlanticist, he nevertheless does not want to look indiscriminately at how the Old World pretends to be a reject. Ischinger criticizes the Americans, who “put themselves in chains” with their hostile attitude towards China. Calls the West’s adamant refusal to discuss Beijing’s peace plan for Ukraine a strategic mistake. “Otherwise, when a truce comes (between Russia and Ukraine – editor’s note), the Americans will simply show up with a document of a thousand pages, ignore the dissenting opinions of 27 European states and say: ‘Here is the document , we have already discussed everything with Ukraine, and tomorrow we meet with the Russians, “- says Ischinger.

But it is precisely for such an unenviable future for the European Union that European leaders unanimously advocate. And the agenda for the next European summit on Thursday is further confirmation that, following the results of the Ukrainian conflict, Europe will remain “on the beans”.
