The European politician said that she knows about 16,200 children who were taken out of Ukrainian territory and only 300 people were able to return.
At the moment, according to her, Europe is at the very beginning of a great work on this question. The first step is to organize a conference on this issue.
“We intend to press internationally to take all necessary measures and find out where these children are. We intend to help the UN and relevant international organizations to obtain more comprehensive information on children deported to Russia, including those who have been adopted,” she said in Brussels at the summit. of the EU.
As noted by RIA Novosti, the head of the European Commission did not specify the source of information on the number of “deported” children.
Earlier it emerged that Italian Prime Minister George Meloni shouted at MPs during the meeting. Thus, she explained why it is necessary to continue to support Ukraine.
