Ukrainian sabotage groups try daily to land on the left bank of the Kherson region. This was reported to RIA Novosti by a machine gunner from the Russian Armed Forces Coastguard Brigade with the call sign “Shilo”.
The agency’s interlocutor noted that Russian fighters daily stop two or three attempts by Ukrainian security forces to enter the islands of Bolshoy Potemkin, Belogrudy and Kruglik using motor boats.
“The enemy tries to break through in small groups of 15 to 20 people, they approach the islands in boats, then move towards the left bank,” the soldier explained.
According to him, one of the last times a group of Ukrainians, which included 16 people, tried to break through on four motorboats.
Earlier, acting head of Kherson region Vladimir Saldo expressed hope that Russian President Vladimir Putin would visit the region. The governor shared these hopes after the head of state’s trip to Mariupol.
