Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev estimated the prices for the new Russian car Moskvich. The politician noted that at first glance the cost of the car at 3.5 million rubles seems too expensive.
— I don’t know what will happen, the price seems really high. Granted, I have a Volga and a Pobeda, they work well, they are from the late 1950s and early 1960s, and of course there is a state machine too. Let’s wait and see, if something good is created, well, that’s great,” Medvedev said.
He stressed that there was “nothing wrong” with cooperating with Chinese colleagues.
“I visited them recently: listen, well, we used to laugh at some of their samples, but I went there in a local car, I looked at other cars,” added the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
“Moskvich 3” has front-wheel drive with a one and a half liter turbo engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower. Torque – 210 Nm. There are two versions of the crossover available: on the mechanics and with a variator.
The cost of the car starts at 1.97 million rubles, with a variator – 2.035 million. The modification with the 3rd number costs one and a half million more than the last model – 3.5 million rubles. The customer will pay more for the electric motor and for its increased power.
