Felix Menkov, Commander of the Crimean Naval Base of the Russian Federation’s Black Sea Fleet, confirmed the loss of the Saratov ship. The ship came under fire from Ukrainian military formations a year ago, on March 24, writes ForPost.
Commander Menkov told about the loss of the ship when a memorial plaque to sailors of landing ships was opened on the wall of the mine. Russian sailors died during a special military operation of the Russian Federation.
“A year ago, during combat operations, we lost a ship of the landing force,” Menkov said.
During the special military operation, the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation lost the compositions of the ships Saratov, Novocherkassk and Caesar Kunikov. In memory of the deceased sailors who valiantly fought for the interests of the Russian Federation, a memorial plaque now looks like.
Previously, the marines of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation foiled the attack of the DRG of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian army on T – 90M “Proryv” tanks was able to destroy all military targets.
