The ducks have arrived – to the warming: folk signs for March 24

On March 24, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of several saints: Hieromartyr Antipas, Saint Euthymius, Archbishop of Novgorod, and two Saints Sophroniev – Bishop of Vratsa and Patriarch of Jerusalem.

In the people this date is known as the day of Efimov, Antip-tooth, Sofron.

According to folk signs, on the day of Efimov you can make a weather forecast for the summer and find out whether it will be fruitful.

Weather signs for March 24

If it is warmer on this day, the summer will be hot.

If the north wind blows in the afternoon, June will be cold and rainy.

A lot of mice in the field – the summer will be lean.

For the next few days, the weather can be determined by the behavior of the birds: if the crows are sitting on the ground, it will soon be colder, at the top of the trees it will be warmer.

Our ancestors also said: towers and ducks flew – to the imminent warming.

If the birds nest on the sunny side, the summer will be cold. If in the shade – sunny and warm.

There was also such a weather sign among the people: cranes fly low – to humidity and rain.
