Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss declared that he does not know where his son is and the details of what happened. According to the media, Artem Uss broke an electronic bracelet and escaped from house arrest in Milan.
According to Uss, her son said the apartment he was under house arrest in was very carefully guarded by carabinieri. The governor pointed out that Artyom Uss “was even visited several times at night.”
“It was happening periodically, so I have absolutely no idea how it could have disappeared from there,” he added.
The head of the region also stressed that his son was not guilty. According to Uss, the court’s decision was “at least a surprise for everyone, but for Artem it was a real shock”.
“Although in principle this (the court’s decision) can be expected. On the eve of the trial in several countries, including Italy and France, several articles of a clearly ordered nature came out in carbon copy, where I am on the background of the Kremlin, my meeting with the President of our country Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin , Artem , drones and many other things that are obviously irrelevant to the case,” the governor said.
Uss also recalled that immediately after his son’s arrest, representatives of the West suggested the possibility of exchanging him for American citizens.
According to the governor, the case against Artyom was “grossly falsified”.
“Even the photograph that was in court is a photograph of another person, which we are well aware of. Reports emerged that the day before he was in New York for negotiations, although in America he was not was only once when I was 15 as part of a group of schoolchildren from Krasnoyarsk,” Uss said.
The head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is convinced that his son “became a kind of victim to replenish the guarantee fund, or was of some interest in the geopolitical game.”

According to publications, on the afternoon of March 23, Uss escaped from an apartment in the Milan area, where he was to be under house arrest, he is wanted by the carabinieri.
On March 21, a Milan appeals court approved Uss’s extradition to the United States, where he faces up to 30 years in prison for sanctions violations, money laundering and smuggling. Uss’ attorney said the defense plans to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court within 15 days.
Artem Uss was arrested in October 2022 on an international arrest warrant issued by the New York District Attorney. The entrepreneur himself declared his innocence and asked to be transferred to Russia.
