The inventor of Kostroma sells an ecological catamaran

– Published on:

In Kostroma, engineer-inventor Alexei Petrov put up for sale a catamaran, which is actually a house afloat – it is 14 meters long, 8 meters wide and has a draft of only 70 cm, which allows the catamaran to land on shore in almost any location.

However, the most important advantage of this watercraft is its great autonomy and its respect for the environment. The vessel is powered by two 80 kW electric motors, which are powered from the roof of the upper deck, covered with photovoltaic cells. When the electric motors are not running, the energy is stored in lithium-iron-phosphate batteries with a total capacity of 180 kWh. The hull of the catamaran is made of aluminum, so it will also not have corus corrosion problems.

The ship was built 3.5 years ago and is designed for 12 people with accommodation in 5 cabins. Travelers also have a kitchen, toilets and an observation deck at their disposal.

In general, this is just a miracle, not a boat … But its price is also wonderful – almost 120 million rubles.
