“There will be a lot of dressing up and the king will attend several dress rehearsals to make sure everything goes well that day,” a source told the newspaper. The new tippet, which will be worn over the supertunic, is expected to be produced by a London-based livery company. A Buckingham Palace insider said the planning for the coronation was to “strike the right balance” between respecting the traditional elements of the ceremony while making it “accessible” to modern audiences.

As preparations for the coronation of King Charles III gather pace and many members of the royal family are expected to arrive, there are still questions whether more will appear, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Harry is out of favor after a book about Buckingham Palace mysteries is published. He lives in the United States with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children.

The ceremony will take place in the presence of senior officials, including British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and members of other European royal families. Among those also keen to take part in what is expected to be one of the most popular events of the year are 32 of the monarch’s godchildren.
