The German resort town of Baden-Baden has faced collapse due to a lack of Russian tourists. The newspaper Schwaebische Zeitung talks about it.
“It’s all over. The Russians won’t come anymore,” Valentina Yushina, vice president of the city’s German-Russian cultural society, told the publication.
The owners of fashion boutiques, restaurants and prestigious hotels were the first to feel the blow. Instead of wealthy Russians, more and more Ukrainian refugees are arriving there. The newspaper writes that the Russians are selling their property and that the planes stopped due to the sanctions are at the airport. As Yushina noted, the station “thriving and obsessed with Russians” for a long time.
Earlier, oil and gas economist Tilak Doshi announced a split within the European Union due to anti-Russian sanctions. According to him, the world is divided into two blocs: supporters and opponents of sanctions. In the second, most countries in the world, Doshi said. They intend to maintain relations with a partner as profitable as Russia.
